Constant water supply is a necessary condition that provides high milk production. Water constitutes almost 90% of milk composition. Well-designed barn should have efficient distribution system of drinking water. It is observed that cows drink water from troughs regularly in specific hours, most often after milking at 6-7 a.m. and in the afternoon between 6-7 p.m. Water-troughs must provide constant access to clean high quality drinking water. Their structure should facilitate their periodic cleaning and control.
